The general objective of this project, carried out in collaboration between TOR CHEMICAL and TADARSA EÓLICA, focuses on research to minimise the loss of mass due to corrosion of offshore wind power generating structures. To this end, as a result of the research carried out within the framework of this project, a state-of-the-art coating based on fluorinated components will be developed. Specifically, the aim is to obtain a coating suitable for corrosivity categories C5 M.
The validity of the product developed by Tor, based on the specifications established by both parties, will be tested on test tubes prepared by Tadarsa Eólica in a certified laboratory of the Basque technology centre Tecnalia.
The project is funded by the Government of the Principality of Asturias through IDEPA and the Science, Technology and Innovation Plan (PCTI), as well as by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
