Windar with millimetre precision

It is in the port of Mukran that the dimensions of each wind turbine become clearer, as the ‘tiny’ operators load the massive parts onto the ship that installs them 40 kilometres off the coast.

On each trip, three wind turbines, divided into towers and turbines. And it is in Mukran where Estanislao Rey-Baltar, director of the Wikinger wind farm, speaks of the high level of satisfaction with Windar’s work: “In this field, this company is unique in Spain. It has shown a great capacity to react to problems, because we have to take into account that we work at sea, in always complex weather conditions and with parts that, for example, are fitted with 163 screws that have millimetric clearances. It’s a very delicate job.
