New offshore project: Windfloat

We will make a new semi-submersible floating foundation model for EDP.

In what constitutes the fifth joint offshore project, the alliance between Navantia and WINDAR has been awarded the construction of one of the three foundations of the Windfloat project, for EDP in Viana do Castelo in Portugal.

This fact was confirmed by Aaron Smith, Vice President of Strategy of the PPI Power firm during the celebration last Friday of the Galician Offshore International Hub held in Ferrol.

Windfloat will be a floating wind farm in Portugal of 25MW of power located 20 kilometers off the coast of Viana de Castelo. The work will be completed in August of next year.
