Yesterday, the Minister of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion of the Asturias Region, Mr. Enrique Fernández, accompanied by the General Director of Energy, Mining and Reactivation, Ms. María Belarmina Díaz Aguado, and the mayor of Avilés, Dña Mariví Monteserín, has visited the Windar Renovables facilities in Avilés, where accompanied by the President of Windar, D. Orlando Alonso and Daniel Alonso, Honorary President of the Grupo Daniel Alonso were able to know the facilities and production processes of manufacture of wind towers.
The president of Windar, asked the Government of Asturias Region to expedite “everything necessary” the construction project of what would be the first OWF in the Cantabrian Sea.
“Asturias would be a Region, together with Galicia, where a fantastic marine wind power installation could be made. The line that the Government is carrying out is the correct one. We have great developments in this regard throughout Europe and we also have to work it. Portugal will already have its own. In addition, it must be launched jointly with other regions and not with competitions between us”said Orlando Alonso.
For his part, the Minister of Industry, has spoken of the process of ecological transition to assert that it generates opportunities such as the one represented by Windar Renovables, “which is having an intense industrial and productive activity, linked to the wind sector”.
