JV Navantia-Windar delivers First EA01 Jackets

The jacket foundations and the piles are being built jointly by the Navantia-Windar consortium. The Jacket assembly is being executed at the Navantia shipyard in Fene, with the piles being constructed by Windar at its facilities in Avilés.

Located 43km off the Suffolk Coast in the southern North Sea, East Anglia One will consist of 102 Siemens 7MW wind turbines scheduled to be fully commissioned in 2020. JV Navantia-Windar won the contract to deliver 42 jackets and 126 piles for the EA01 project.

The remaining structures (Jackets and piles) are expected to be delivered over the following months.

The presidents of Iberdrola, Navantia and Windar, as well as various representatives and authorities, attended the ceremony.
