Located 24 km off the northern coast of France, the wind farm will contribute to France’s energy transition goals, which aims to achieve a 33% share of renewable energy in its energy mix by 2030.
From the production of its first megawatt-hour in July 2023 to the installation of its 71st wind turbine, the Fécamp offshore wind farm has been progressively connected to the national grid. In the coming weeks, it will be able to supply low-carbon electricity to around 770,000 people.
Windar Renovables extends its gratitude and success for having been part of this pioneering project that has been inaugurated today in the northwest of France. Windar Renovables has successfully manufactured 35 offshore wind towers, all of them manufactured at its facilities in Avilés.
This achievement reflects our continued dedication to advancing clean energy solutions and contributing to a sustainable future that will benefit our communities and the environment for years to come. We look forward to our continued collaboration and to achieving more milestones together.
