Delighted to announce that the first TP (transition piece) for the Vineyard Wind I project has been coated in our Windar’s Avilés facilities today.

Congratulations to all the teams that have been involved in each process and who have gone through great efforts despite the setbacks. Special thanks to our client Vineyard Wind (Iberdrola / CIP) who has trusted us to supply and deliver all offshore foundations for its project.

The Vineyard Wind I project, consists of 62 wind turbines to be installed 15 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. It is the first commercial-scale offshore wind farm in the United States. The project’s expected to generate electricity for more than 400,000 homes and businesses.

We continue to work hard for all that is to come. It is an ongoing journey and we are here to support our company along the way.
