To mark #InternationalChildren’sDay we organised a visit by secondary school students from the Paula Frassinetti School in Avilés to the Windar offshore facilities located in the Port of Avilés.
At the port facilities, about 60 children were given a training talk by Windar offshore’s occupational health and safety technicians on the guidelines to follow, and on the parts that are being manufactured and which will soon be leaving for German waters.
They were also able to enjoy and learn first-hand about the world of renewable energies and the huge structures WINDAR is building for Iberdrola’s Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm.
For Windar Renovables, World Children’s Day is an important moment, and that is why we are joining this global appeal with the aim of raising awareness of the rights of all children around the world, and making our people and groups aware of the need to improve and promote their right to education, health and well-being and protection so that they can have a better future.
Our commitment ensures their well-being and development through quality education (SDG4), promotion of their health and well-being (SDG3) and non-discrimination of any kind (SDG 10).
