Yesterday Windar and the Department of Education of the Xunta de Galicia have signed a collaboration agreement in Santiago de Compostela to launch a new cycle of “Dual Professional Training” dedicated to welding.
The three-year training cycle is aimed at Vocational Training to favor the incorporation of young future professionals into the offshore wind sector, where the alliance between Windar Renovables and Navantia currently manufactures components in the Fene shipyard, as well as, the objective of guaranteeing minimum employment for the students who do it.
This cycle that will have twelve training places will be taught in the CIFP Ferrolterra in its theoretical part with a duration of four months, while the practical part will be carried out in the facilities of the former Imenosa with a duration of eight months each course.
Through dual training, the new professionals of the sector manage to acquire competences through regulated studies and the realization of work practices in companies, being one of the best alternatives currently for the training of future specialists.
