Tadarsa Eólica S.L.U participates in the R&D project called ‘FAWIND’, framed within the of the call for ‘Execution of Differential or Tractor R&D projects in the Principality of Asturias’, in a consortium formed by Tadarsa, Iturcemi and Applus, and for which it collaborates with the area of Welding and Union Technologies of the IDONIAL Technological Centre. This project, led by Tadarsa as the driving company, aims to respond to the needs and challenges faced by Asturian society in the areas and sectors related to Asturias RIS3.
The main objective of the project, which is subsidised by the Government of the Principality of Asturias through IDEPA and the Science, Technology and Innovation Plan (STIP) and by the European Union through the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), is to increase the productivity of the welding process by means of new automatization techniques, in order to achieve an optimal serial manufacturing process for offshore wind towers (towers, piles, monopiles, etc).
This project aims to improve productivity in saw through research into new, more closed joint models, as well as the design of new, fully automated and continuous welding equipment, adapted to the new joint design, capable of generating a filler pattern and correcting the line in a fully automatic way.
