Navantia and Windar have signed the Wikinger contract with Iberdrola.

The JV thus becomes the supplier of 29 jackets for the Wikinger marine park (Germany) in the Baltic Sea.

Navantia and Windar have signed a contract with Iberdrola for the construction and load-out of 29 jackets and 116 piles at the Fene shipyard and Windar’s facilities in Avilés. Navantia’s capabilities and facilities, together with Windar renovables’ experience and know-how, make the new Joint Venture an international benchmark in the manufacture of metal structures for the offshore market.

The value of this agreement amounts to 90 million euros and, according to the planned schedule, the piles will begin to be installed at sea in the first quarter of 2016.
