Construction of French offshore wind farm Saint Brieuc progresses

The installation of the 62 jacket foundations for the wind farm ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜-๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜‚๐—ฐ ๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ณ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ณ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—บ in France is progressing well.

To date, almost half of the wind farm’s foundation sites have been drilled and equipped with piles, and this work is expected to continue until 2023.

Once operational, the wind farm will have a total installed capacity of 496 MW, capable of generating enough ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐˜† for 835,000 people.

The Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm is located 16 kilometres off the northwest coast of France in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc in the English Channel.

The project, developed by Iberdrola’s subsidiary Ailes Marines, is the first large-scale offshore wind farm in Brittany to obtain all the necessary governmental permits for construction and operation.
