Iberdrola, Navantia and Windar sign the delivery of the structures to the electricity company at the Fene shipyard.
Iberdrola’s Chairman – Ignacio Sánchez Galán, Navantia’s Chairman – José Manuel Revuelta and Windar’s Chairman – Orlando Alonso, signed at the Fene shipyard, the act of delivery of the first jackets built by the Navantia-Windar JV, destined for IBERDROLA’s WIKINGER wind farm in Germany.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Xunta de Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijoo, the Regional Ministers of Industry and Social Policy, Francisco Conde and José Manuel Rey Varela. The event was attended by numerous political, business and institutional representatives from the Ferrol region.
IBERDROLA Chairman Ignacio Sánchez Galán congratulated both companies and underlined the importance of the Wikinger project for the company, both in terms of innovation and contribution to the development of Spanish industry.
The work commissioned to the JV formed by Navantia and Windar has successfully met both the deadline and the required quality.
