This offshore wind farm which is owned by Iberdrola in Brittany, France, has a total installed capacity of 496 MW, capable of generating clean energy to supply nearly 1 million people.
This landmark project, which has been more than 12 years in the making, marks an important milestone for Iberdrola and all the partners involved, as well as for the country’s energy transition. This wind farm, located off the coast of Brittany, symbolises our commitment to renewable energies and the reduction of CO2 emissions.
As a result of the power of its 62 offshore wind turbines, for which Windar Renovables and Navantia Seanergies manufactured and assembled the jacket foundations that support them, it will supply clean electricity to around 835,000 people each year, making a significant contribution to France’s energy independence.
The completion of this ambitious project is a further step towards a greener world and reinforces our vision of a sustainable future.
