This advance marks a decisive step for Ocean Winds, the project developer, and represents a success story for Windar Renovables, the manufacturer of the 62 jackets in partnership with Navantia.
Each of these jacket foundations measures approximately 63 metres high and 14 metres wide, with an estimated weight of 1,200 tonnes, and will supply renewable energy to 850,000 people, contributing significantly to the role of offshore wind energy in the energy transition and decarbonisation objectives of France and Europe.
