{"id":22379,"date":"2025-04-25T10:51:46","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T10:51:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/windar-renovables.com\/installation-begins-on-iberdrolas-largest-offshore-wind-farm-for-which-windar-and-navantia-are-manufacturing-the-monopiles\/"},"modified":"2025-06-04T12:20:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T12:20:02","slug":"installation-begins-on-iberdrolas-largest-offshore-wind-farm-for-which-windar-and-navantia-are-manufacturing-the-monopiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/windar-renovables.com\/en\/installation-begins-on-iberdrolas-largest-offshore-wind-farm-for-which-windar-and-navantia-are-manufacturing-the-monopiles\/","title":{"rendered":"Installation begins on Iberdrola&#8217;s largest offshore wind farm, for which Windar and Navantia are manufacturing the monopiles."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iberdrola has installed the first monopile manufactured by the strategic alliance Navantia Seanergies and Windar Renovables at its largest offshore wind farm, East Anglia Three.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the company&#8217;s third project within its East Anglia Hub complex, located 60 kilometres from the coast in the North Sea (United Kingdom), which will be Iberdrola&#8217;s largest wind farm and the second largest in the world.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a height of 84 metres, a weight of 1,800 tonnes and a diameter of 10.6 metres, the monopiles represent a record in the offshore wind industry as the largest installed to date.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">East Anglia Three will have a total of 95 monopiles to be built by Spanish companies. The Navantia Seanergies-Windar Renovables (JVNW) joint venture will manufacture 45 of them.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, Windar Renovables will also produce the 95 transition pieces for the wind farm. Each of these pieces is 20 metres high, 8 metres in diameter and weighs more than 400 tonnes, and the first of these has also been installed.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the 95 turbines are installed, expected in early 2026, they will be capable of generating 1,400 MW of power, enough to supply more than 1.3 million households in the UK with sustainable, indigenous and competitive electricity.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The construction of the 45 monopiles by Navantia-Windar alone will involve a total of 900,000 hours of work during a 15-month execution period, which is already generating around 450 jobs between the two companies and the collaborating auxiliary industry.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WINDAR RENOVABLES<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iberdrola has installed the first monopile manufactured by the strategic alliance Navantia Seanergies and Windar Renovables at its largest offshore wind farm, East Anglia Three.
